Icon Panel with Ark (Kovcheg)

Traditional handmade icon panels crafted from solid linden wood with authentic gesso surface preparation and traditional ark (kovcheg) border. These panels provide the perfect foundation for painting icons using traditional egg tempera techniques.

Features:

• Solid linden wood construction
• Traditional gesso applied by hand
• Ark (kovcheg) border included
• Multiple sizes available
• Ready for egg tempera painting

Each panel is carefully prepared following traditional iconography methods, ensuring an authentic surface for your sacred art. The ark (kovcheg) creates a recessed painting surface, following traditional icon-making techniques.

Panels are made to order, and custom sizes are also available upon request. Please allow the appropriate amount of time (depending on my schedule at the time of your order. Contact me if you have questions, but usually about 2 weeks) or if you would like to inquire about a custom order.
